About Abhaneri :

A village destination Abhaneri is located at a distance of 95 kms away from Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan. It is mainly known for its Harshat Mata temple and the step walls. The temple dedicated to the Harshat Mata Goddess is the prime attraction for a Rajasthan village tour. The goddess is of goddess of pleasure and happiness.

  

King Raja Chand, the ruler of the Gurjar founded the village of Abhaneri and at the early time it was known as Abha Nagri. Though the main attractions were demolished yet Abhaneri is a one of the renowned destinations in Rajasthan.

The total area of the village is about 37 sq kms. The main languages spoken by the people are Hindi, English and Rajasthani. The best time to plan Abhaneri Rajasthan tour is from October to March.

Travel Attractions at Abhaneri

Harshad Mata Temple: Harshad Mata Temple is indeed the major attraction at Abhaneri, Rajasthan. The architecture of the temple is an emblem of medieval architecture of Rajasthan. The local folks worship at the temple daily.

Chand Baoli: Chand Baori, a big size step wall is located near the Harshat Mata temple. It was built in the 10th century. This step wall is built in front of the temple. The architecture is worth viewing. One of the deepest step walls in India, Chand Baoli has 3500 steps and 100 feet deep well.

Excursions from Abhaneri

Dausa: A former kingdom of Kacchawaha ruler of Dhurander, Dausa is located on the eastern side of Rajasthan. Around Dausa, many forts and havelis are located. The main attractions are temples, forts, havelis and the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja.

Bairath: Located in between Jaipur and Alwar, Bairath is just 86 kms from Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. There are myths and histories related to this place. It has a remnant which shows the unique blend of Mughals, Maury and Rajputs. Earlier Bairath was known as Virata Nagar.

Karauli: Karauli village is 182 kms away from Jaipur city. It is widely known as Madan Mohanji Temple dedicated to the Lord Krishna. It houses a 600 years old fort. The royal family lived at this fort. Kaila Devi temple of Karauli is also famous among the tourists.

Ramgarh: Located at a distance of 25 kilometers away from Jaipur, Ramgarh houses a big artificial lake.
