Sawai Madhopur is one of the most visited destinations in Rajasthan as it is home to the Ranthambore National Park. It is a beautiful village at a distance of 160 kms away from Jaipur. The fort located at Sawai Madhopur was built Kachhawaha Rajputs and now it has been converted into a heritage hotel. Travel Attractions at Sawai Madhopur:

Ranthambore National Park: A famous wildlife destination in India, Ranthambore National Park is mainly known for the tiger population. The park is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Various species of birds are also seen at Ranthambore. This national park is 11 kms away from the Sawai Madhopur village.

Ranthambore Fort: Once a hunting lodge of the maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambore Fort is also a worth visiting site. The architecture is worth viewing.

Padam Talao: A beautiful lake at Ranthambore, Padam Talao is a good site for animal viewing. The hunting house called Jogi Mahal is located on the bank of the lake Padam Talao.

Rajbagh Talao and Malik Talao: Rajbagh and Malik Talao are the other two lakes at Ranthambore and both are good spot for wildlife spotting. Bird waters will surely spot birds like Egrets, Herons, Kingfishers, Storks and crane at the Malik Talao Lake.

Khandar Fort: Khandar Fort was once known as the 'Security post of Ranthambore'. It is located on a top of a hill.

Chamatkar Temple: A popular Jain temple, Chamatkar temple is located at Sawai Madhopur village. It is now a Jain pilgrimage centre. Sawai Madhopur is mainly visited by the wildlife lovers; Ranthambore national park draws thousands of tourists in a year.
